As a member of the Canadian Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce, and of the Canadian Aboriginal and Minority Supplier Council, a holder of  BBBEE Level 2 certificate in South Africa, and a certified Small and Medium Enterprise in the United Kingdom, we are excited to be part of a labor market that’s undergoing a long-awaited transformation that places inclusivity, equity and diversity at the forefront.

HelloKindred’s new strategic direction is one that emphasizes strengthening its DEI (diversity, equity and inclusion) efforts. We are committed to hiring goals, regular training for employees and stronger partnerships with organizers such as the LGBTQ2+ Chamber of Commerce and the ‘Canadian Aboriginal and Minority Supplier Council’. We are a Gold Partner to the Black Marketers Association of America, member of the Canadian Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce and member of the Canadian Aboriginal and Minority Supplier Council. Our DEI committee is made up of women, women of color and LGBTQ2+ members.

But we don’t rest on our laurels. We know we must put the work into educating ourselves and staying informed on critical DEI topics. Instead of relying on marginalized groups to tell us where we’re going wrong, we immerse ourselves in the relevant resources, making good use of toolkits from diversity and inclusion organizations to steer our tracking and reporting data on demographics. Crucially, we are always listening and always learning, and we expect the people who work with and for us to commit to doing the same.
